We dogs don't forsake those we love We don't lie or steal Or pretend that we're really The spokesmen for powers above We always keep faith with our people And don't ask for much in return So if we're really so stupid Why is it people who don't ever learn?
If dogs were as stupid as people We'd obsess on our color and breed We'd spend to look younger Leave others in hunger And bask in indulgence and gumption and greed.
